Bulgaria Temperatures Fall to -28oC as Cold Spell Continues: Bulgaria Temperatures Fall to Record Lows as Freeze Continues

Temperatures fell to minus 28,2 degrees celsius early on Tuesday morning in the Northern Bulgarian town of Sevlievo as Bulgaria saw record temperature lows for a second day running.

The East and North of the country were worst affected with -25oC being seen in the Black Sea town of Dobrich at 05:00 Tuesday morning.

-22oC in Elhovo, -20oC in Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo and Vidin as well as -14,4oC in Varna were all temperature records for the respective regions.

Roads and Airports across the country were reported to be clear despite the icy conditions and recent snowfall.

The lowest temperature ever measured in Bulgaria was recorded in 1947 in Trun –38,3 oC.
