A 2,6 magnitude on the Richter scale earthquake was registered on Christmas Day in the Bulgarian Black Sea territorial waters.

The European Seismological Center reports that the earthquake was registered at 12:22 pm Friday, 64 km northeast of the city of Varna and 21 km east of the town of Kavarna.

There are no reports of injuries or damage.

A relatively strong earthquake of 4,7 magnitude happened in the same area in the beginning of August, 2009.
