Heavy Snowfall Affects Petrohan, Shipka, and Rhodope Passes
Winter has returned to Northern Bulgaria, bringing snowfall and a sudden drop in temperatures
A total of 130 towns and villages around Bulgaria have seen power outages as a result of the heavy snowfall.
Some of the worst hit regions are the northeastern Dobrich District and the southwestern Kyustendil District.
The outages also affected the elite Sofia quarters Simeonovo, Dragalevtsi, Boyana, and Lozenetz. The work of the emergency teams all around the country is continuing.
Yet, the situation might become worse as meteorologists forecast even heavier snowfall in the coming days.
