Bulgaria’s cabinet decided Wednesday to allocate BGN 1,320 M for the country’s participation in Expo 2010 entitled “Better City, Better Life” in Shanghai, China.
The money will come from economization measures at the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism.
Bulgaria’s participation in the Shanghai 2010 Expo is seen by the government as part of a wider national strategy aimed at attracting foreign investment and improving the country image as well advertising it as a tourist destination.
The “Better City, Better Life” Expo is taking place between May 1 and October 31, 2010.
