The famous Bulgarian cartoonist Tsvetan Tsekov - Karandasha, who was declared missing on Monday night, is in hospital after being hit by a tram.

During the time of the accident the man did not carry with him any identification documents, which prompted the alert to the police.

85-year-old Tsekov went missing straight after holding an exhibition on Friday night.

As a founding member of the editorial board of the ‘Starshel’ newspaper, Tzvetan Tsekov regularly publishes themed political cartoons. He has been awarded many times all over the world for his art.
