A fire broke out on the express train from Bulgaria’s capital Sofia to the Black Sea city of Burgas at 18:40 causing the train to be evacuated.

The incident happened between the stations of ‘Todor Kableshkov’ and ‘Stamboliiski’, witnesses informed. There were no injured people and all the passengers have been evacuated.

Due to fire two trains were forced to stop at the ‘Todor Kableshkov’station, Darik Radio reported.

Passengers complained that they were not informed of why trains had been delayed on the line for almost an hour.

Plovdiv fire station spokesman Georgi Kunev reported that the transformer oil on the train was burning and that there was no danger to the passenger wagons of the train.
