Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, has had a conversation with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during the reception of German Chancellor Merkel on the fall of the Berlin Wall Monday night.
The matter of their talk was the planned state visit of Bulgarian Foreign Minister Rumiana Jeleva to the USA on November 23, 2009.
During the reception Borisov also met with EC President Jose Manuel Barroso, EP President Jerzy Buzek, and NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
He also talked with Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende who is to visit Sofia on December 14, 2009.
“It is impressive and a real honor to meet with politicians such as Lech Walesa and Mikhail Gorbachev,” Borisov said after the reception as quoted by the government press service.
Over 30 state leaders including Bulgarian PM Borisov were among the guests of the celebrations of the 20th year since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
