The newly appointed Bulgarian Ambassador Niloka Kaludov has presented his credentials to His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI.

The Head of the Roman Catholic Church expressed his satisfaction with the status of the relationship between Bulgaria and the Holy See, and pointed out that it deserves to be more intensive, the Foreign Affairs press center announced.

The Bulgarian Ambassador was received by the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, on October 31. At the meeting, the head of the Vatican Administration and the Ambassador exchanged specific viewpoints on future cooperation between Bulgaria and the Vatican State.
