Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, reiterated Monday his accusations that the previous, three-party coalition cabinet had depleted the State treasury.

The latest charge involves BGN 20 M which the new government must find to pay Microsoft for the replacement of the old Windows system in offices of the State administration. The contact with Microsoft has been signed by the former cabinet, but according to the PM, they “forgot” to slate money for the deal in the State budget.

Borisov commented on the reelection of his predecessor, Sergey Stanishev, as leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), by saying he did not care about the Socialist elections and Stanishev's post. He pointed out, however, he expected the BSP Congress to give answers to questions why Bulgaria has been paced in a situation where it cannot pay for its contractual obligations over the lack of sufficient funds in all ministries.
