Bulgaria’s National Football Team defeated Georgia 6:2 in Sofia Wednesday night.

The Bulgarians crushed their opponents in the first half, which ended 6:1. The star striker of Manchester United, Dimitar Berbatov scored three goals, and Manchester City’s Martin Petrov scored two. Stanislav Angelov, a player of Energie (Germany) also scored one.

The crushing of Georgia is of no importance for Bulgaria since the team lost whatever minor chances it had to qualify for the 2010 South Africa World Cup when it was defeated 4:1 by Cyprus on Saturday.

Thus, Bulgaria remains third in its qualifications group after Italy and Ireland.
