Bulgarian Parliament Votes to Allow Foreign Companies in Railway Operation

Bulgaria's Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, will present to the Council of Ministers the 2010 State budget project by October 19.
The information was reported Wednesday by the Council of Ministers' press center.
The legislative program of the cabinet by the end of the current year includes discussions of 88 new amendments with strictly set deadlines to be submitted with the Council of Ministers.
The amendments involve the Healthcare Facilities Act, the Waste Management Act, the Taking away by the State of Assets Acquired through Criminal Activity Act, the Environment Preservation Act, the Act for the Privatization and Post-privatization Control, the Public Tenders Act, the Health Insurance Act.
Djankov is also slated to introduce projects for amendments in the Value Added Tax Act, the Excise and Tax Warehouses Act, Corporate Taxation Act, and the Individual Income Taxation Act.
Other amendments to be discussed in November include amendments if the Social Insurance Code, the Concession Act, the Trade Register Act. In December, the Justice Minster, Margarita Popova, must propose amendments of the Administrative Procedural Code, the Legislative Power Act and the Penalty Code.
