The construction of Bulgarian Hemus highway that crosses the northern part of the country will be given on concession.

Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, has announced Monday during a visit in the town of Kavarna that the project is too expensive for the government to complete it on its own.

In his words, one of the options for the highway to be completed is the Ruse-Veliko Tarnovo-Sofia part of the road to be given on concession, and the Veliko Tarnovo-Shumen part to be contructed by the state.

Regarding the recently changed law on cultural and historical heritage, PM Borisov said he would propose such a law that would protect the cultural heritage in the best possible way. In order to do this he has asked for translations of similar laws in France, Italy, Spain, and Greece, that he will examine.

Borisov officially presented a brand new, fully equipped truck to the fire brigade in Kavarna. The truck costs BGN 460 000 and has been promised to the Kavarna Mayor, Tsonko Tsonkov, by Borisov himself, after the earthquake on August 5. This is the first new car in the Town's fire brigade since 1987.
