Bulgaria Parliament Speaker, Tsetska Tsacheva, has approved a BGN 183 000 data system to stop MPs voting with other MP's cards.
Tsacheva stated Friday that she has accepted the offer of a company who offered there services in an open bid during the previous parliament term. The company will now provide the Parliament with a BGN 183 000 biometric data system.
She continued by saying that she hoped the controversy regarding MPs voting with other MP's cards will now be stopped forever and that it will now be easy to keep a track of what the MPs vote for.
The system will be operational by January 2010 and will identify MPs using a series of points and a fingerprint.
