An American jazz concert will take place on Sunday, September 6 at 5 p.m. at the band shell in the Borissova Gradina to celebrate the Unification Day and the end of the summer.

Bulgaria will mark on September 6 the 124th anniversary since the unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia.

The free concert is sponsored by the EU Embassy in Sofia and will feature American Jazz played by the Ari Roland Quartet.

This concert is the last in a 6-part series sponsored by the U.S. Embassy for its "Summer of Jazz" program in Bulgaria. The Ari Roland Quartet will also perform at the UBB Club in Sozopol on September 4 at 11 pm for the Apollonia Festival.

The Ari Roland Quartet hales from New York City and is made up of Ari Roland on double bass, Chris Byars on tenor saxophone, Sacha Perry on piano, and Keith Balla on drums.
