Bulgaria to Use Culture Centers Abroad to Advertise Its Tourism
Bulgaria could be advertised as a global tourist destination in its cultural information centers abroad.
This idea belongs to the Culture Minister, Vezhdi Rashidov, and is currently being considered by the Ministry of Economy, Energy, and Tourism as well, announced Blagoy Ragin, Chair of the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA).
The Bulgarian state and the tourism business sector are expected to share the advertising costs; the ads will advertise Bulgaria's tourism in general, and not just the cultural tourism.
Ragin said the Ministries of economy and of culture were going to meet in order to hammer out the details.
Meanwhile, he also announced that the BHRA was to open its first office in Serbia. The new office will target the residents of Belgrade, and the Bulgarian tourism businesses are rather excited about the new opportunities this might bring.
