The Bulgarian Interior Ministry, the Customs Agency, the border and criminal police will unite their forces in fighting value added tax (VAT) faruds.
The creation of the new anti-tax frauds coalition has been announced Friday by the Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov.
In his words, in a month joint working groups will be created. Representatives of the Interior Ministry, the Customs Agency, the State Revenue Agency, the border and criminal police will take part in these working groups. Their goal will be to counteract with VAT frauds and contraband.
A new video security system for borders observation will be developed, too. The government has the money for such a project, Tsvetanov asserted.
The videos from the security systems will be directly received in the customs headquarters.
