A gas leak from a cistern truck has forced the police Thursday to close the main road that connects Bulgaria Danube City of Ruse and the capital Sofia.

The 14-ton truck's faucet failed and the gas leak could not be stopped, local police officials reported.

The truck has already been moved to a specialized unloading depot. The police asserted that there was not danger for the people and the vehicles that are passing near the accident.

This is the second gas leak case in the Ruse region in one day. Earlier on Thursday, another cistern truck, caring gas from the Romania capital Bucharest to the Bulgarian town of Pernik, had a gas leak near the Danube Bridge 1.
