Barbara Vasileva, the Polish mother who seized her 8-year-old daughter Nikoleta from her former Bulgarian husband in May 2009, has also seized her 7-year-old son Pavel.

With the help of the police, and an officer of the court, the Polish mother took away Pavel, after his father's car was pulled over near the Southern Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.

The father of Pavel and Nikoleta, Todor Vasilev, was heading for a Black Sea vacation with his son and his mother, from his native city of Asenovgrad, when he was stopped by three police cars.

The scene, in which Pavel was seized has turned ugly similar to the one in which Pavel's sister Nikoleta was seized in Asenovgrad in May 2009, and Pavel managed to run away. Pavel's grandmother (Todor Vasilev's mother) has become aggressive and has attacked the police officers, Darik Radio reported.

Barbara Vasileva and her son are reported to be traveling for Sofia. Bulgaria's Justice Minister, Margarita Popova, is going to make a special statement on the case at 9 pm Thursday.

The 7-year-old Pavel and his father had just picked a school where the kid was about to start first grade on September 15, 2009.

On Wednesday, Todor Vasilev announced that he was going sue Bulgaria in Strasbourg because of the attempts to forcibly seize his children. Vasilev has been sentenced by a Polish court to return his children to his former wife; this ruling has later been upheld by a Bulgarian court.

The Bulgarian-Polish custody drama has dragged on for about 2 years.
