The Economy Committee at the Bulgarian Parliament convenes Wednesday to examine possibilities of collecting additional resources for the budget from unfulfilled privatization obligations.

The Members of the Parliament are discussing the possibilities to obtain the defaults determined by the court and the Agency for Post-Privatization Control.

According to the Committee's Chair, Martin Dimitrov from the rightist Blue Coalition, the amount that could enter the budget is estimated at BGN 1,1 B.

The Director of the Agency for Post-Privatization Control says the lack of enough property assets to be used to fulfill the obligations and the reduced property market were the main reasons for the privatization amounts to not be entering the budget.

Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, Traicho Traikov and the leadership of the Agency for Post-Privatization Control are attending the meeting as well.
