A Sofia notary has uncovered an attempt of property fraud in which the owner of an expensive property produced false inheritance documents to try to con an Italian citizen.
The notary who remained anonymous reported that when he queried the authenticity of the documents produced he asked for assistance from the local Sredets municipality but was refused help. He then turned to Sofia's Bankya quarter municipality, where the property was situated, he was told that some of the inheritance documents were not legal.
The notary has informed the Sofia city prosecutor of the case, BTA reported late Tuesday.
