A light 2,6-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale was registered early Thursday morning near Bulgaria's capital Sofia.
The epicenter of the earthquake that occurred at 2:15 am was located 27 km southeast of Sofia, and 17 km northwest of the town of Samokov, the European Seismology Center announced. No damages or casualties have been reported.
On Wednesday, Eastern Bulgaria saw a stronger earthquake of 4,7 magnitude whose epicenter was in the Black Sea off the coast of Varna.
