After his nomination as PM of Bulgaria was officially announced on Thursday, Simeon II commented on the interview he gave the Russian newspaper `Itogi`, saying that `everything was circulated out of context. Let us look at the deeds and in several years` time you will see that I stand by my word`. In the interview (published on Wednesday) Simeon Saxe-Coburg was asked whether he would agree to become again a reigning monarch. He was quoted as telling the Russian newspaper that `everything depends on the Bulgarian people and, I emphasize, the restoration of the monarchy can really make our life more law-abiding, more democratic and in line with the Constitution`. He also explained that he had founded the Simeon II National Movement with the sole aim to restore normal rule for Bulgaria and his fellow-countrymen. `After 11 years of democracy many of them were disappointed. They already don`t know for whom to vote. There were major financial scandals and crises. When you don`t know how to make both ends meet and at the same time read in the newspapers about the fabulous bank accounts of the establishment, this cannot but stir up indignation`, the King said.
