The new Bulgarian cabinet led by PM Boyko Borisov will hold its first official meeting Wednesday after being sworn in on Monday.

The ministers will focus on ways of optimizing the budget of the separate ministries and the expenditure of the government as a whole while taking into account the global financial crisis, Darik Radio reported Wednesday.

Bulgaria's new Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, said Monday that the first task of his Ministry would be to cut the state's expenditures by BGN 1,5-2 B.

Meanwhile, it was also announced that the new ministers will announce their deputy ministers before Friday, with the new appointments being closely scrutinized by Borisov himself.
