The United States is the cheapest, with all 16 items listed costing between EUR 540 and EUR 215 less than the bill for pre-holiday shopping in Ireland.
While Bulgaria came out top for the best value for luggage with a Samonsite suitcase costing just EUR 48, the country is the second most expensive for replacing all other essentials, at a total cost of EUR 927.
Long-haul holidaymakers jetting off to the Caribbean should pay the most attention to the index and hope their luggage doesn't go astray. The sun destination is the most expensive place to replace all of the essentials, at an overall cost of around EUR 1,295.
