The Bulgarian Health Ministry has said that five new cases of the H1N1 strain have been found in the country, taking the total tally of those infected by the swine flu pandemic up to 33

The latest victims are two women, two men and a boy aged 8, 16, 28, 30 and 43.

They have received treatment in medical facilities in the capital Sofia and the Black Sea town of Varna.

The swine flu pandemic in Bulgaria is unexpectedly but surely gathering momentum despite the thermal cameras placed at the airports in Sofia and Varna.
