The Strong Earthquake in Taiwan Caused Equipment Damage at TSMC Chipmaker
The intense earthquake that rattled Taiwan early Wednesday, led to equipment damage at the semiconductor giant Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC)
Nineteen buildings suffered slight damages after the light earthquakes that shook Southern Bulgaria on Monday noon.
All of the building are in the village of Krumovo, Plovdiv District, Darik Radio reported.
Several chimneys were destroyed, and most of the buildings had cracks on the inside walls, officials reported.
Some houses that have trimmer joists had cracks on their facades, and some of the rendering fell off.
A total of three quakes were register Monday in a period of just two hours in the region of Bulgaria's second biggest city of Plovdiv.
The first shake had a magnitude of 3,5 on the Richter scale, and was felt most intensely around the town of Sadovo in South-Eastern Bulgaria. The other two were lighter, and were felt only around their epicenter (150 kilometers South-East from Sofia).
