Daniel Mitov Ready for Foreign Minister Role Amid Geopolitical Test in Bulgaria
Daniel Mitov, Deputy Chairman of GERB, has expressed his readiness to assume the position of Acting Foreign Minister
Criterion in Bulgaria seems to be whether you are friend with the Prime Minister or not, former Foreign Minister, Ivaylo Kalfin, said.
He commented Sunday on the resent nomination of Bozhidar Dimitrov, Director of the National History Museum, for minister without portfolio. Kalfin defined as "strange" the double standard GERB has.
Bozhidar Dimitrov entered the cabinet of GERB leader Boyko Borisov shortly after parliament decided that MPs who were collaborators of the so called State Security, the intelligence and secret police during the communist regime, will be banned from heading parliamentary commission.
Kalfin said he was surprised to see in the government the presence of people, who had manages big companies, and now they will govern the Ministry of Economy and Energy, and the Regional Development Ministry. He foresees a conflict of interests in this.
Another thing that he was surprised of was GERB's decision to form a minority government, because it would not be stable enough.
