The Chair of the GERB party, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, revealed Tuesday morning the name of Bulgaria's future Environment Minister.
Tsvetanov, who is the Interior Minister nominee himself, said in a morning talk show on the Bulgarian National Television, that Nona Karadzhova was almost certainly going to fill the Eco-Minister position.
"She is one of our best environment experts", Tsvetanov said regarding Karadzhova, who was the head of the "Strategy, European Integration, and International Cooperation" Directorate at the Bulgarian Environment Ministry between 1997 and 2005 - during the governments of both Ivan Kostov and Simeon Saxe-Coburg.
According to Tsvetanov, Karadzhova was actively involved in Bulgaria's negotiations for EU accession in environment protection, one of the hardest of all subject matter.
She left her position in 2005, after the three-way coalition government took over, but has continued working in the environment sphere as a consultant.
The GERB Chair Tsvetanov also Tuesday morning that the chances of Andriana Sukova-Tosheva, who is an aide of the Bulgarian EU Commissioner Kuneva, to become Bulgaria's next Agriculture Minister were not that great.
