Bulgaria: 3,6-Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Southern Bulgaria

An earthquake with a 3,6-magnitude was registered in Southern Bulgaria at 6:54 Tuesday morning.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 180 km southeast of Sofia, according to the Seismology Center of the Geophysical Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

It was felt in the southern districts of Plovdiv, Kardzhali, and Smolyan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has announced there were no material damages or casualties.

Two light earthquakes - with magnitudes of 2,6 and 3 - were registered in Southwest Bulgaria on Sunday.
