The European Conservatives and Reformists Group (ECRG) have not backed Bulgarian RZS party's plan to sign a memorandum to help GERB form a minority government.

The Order, Law and Justice Party (RZS) reported Friday that they consulted with their EU partners in the ECRG and have decided not to sign the memorandum proposed by GERB.

The reason for the decision is that the ECRG did not back the idea to put RZS's signature alongside that of a "nationalistic party such as Ataka".

RZS leader Yane Yanev had stated Wednesday that his party was going to extend full support to GERB's minority Cabinet.

The Parliament election winners, GERB, intend to form a minority government that will be guaranteed support by a memorandum with other Bulgarian political forces.

This became clear Wednesday after a consultation meeting with the Blue Coalition, and the Ataka party.

GERB had expected the support of the three right-wing political forces in the parliament - the Blue Coalition, RZS, and Ataka.
