The popular St David's Cathedral choir, from the UK's smallest city, is set to begin a tour of Bulgaria on July 18.
The present choir is unique in the UK in that its top line consists of girls aged 8-18. The choir sings at four services each week and has recorded several CDs, one of which sold over one million copies in the US, and broadcast many times on BBC radio and television. In the last ten years the choir has toured widely in Europe, Australia and the US.
The earliest reference to choristers at St Davids Cathedral was in 1132 during the reign of English King Richard II.
St David's (Welsh: Tyddewi) itself is the smallest city in the UK, with a population of 1 797. It lies on the River Alun in Pembrokeshire, Wales. St David's is the de facto ecclesiastical capital of Wales and the final resting place of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales. St David's is also famous for its sandy beaches which are very popular with surfers and tourists alike.

Sunday 19 July: Concert in the Catholic Church Sofia
Monday 20 July: 1830 Concert in the old Protestant Church, Bansko
Wednesday 22 July: 1100 Concert in Koprivshitsa Orthodox Church
