The An-30 plane transporting the ballot boxes with the votes of the Bulgarian rangers currently stationed in Afghanistan had an accident on Monday.

When landing in the city of Trabzon in Turkey around 6 pm on Monday, the plain got a flat tire, the Ministry of Defense announced Tuesday.

None of the people on board were injured, and another plane of the Bulgarian Air Force - Spartan - was sent to Trabzon on Tuesday to pick up the ballot boxes and the members of the Afghanistan polling stations.

The flight is expected to take place late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. The Bulgarian Defense Ministry is currently working out the technical procedures for the stay of the two transport planes in Trabzon with the Turkish authorities.
