Bulgaria Prominent Literary Scholar Encho Mutafov Dies at 66

Bulgaria's prominent literary scholar and critic, Professor Encho Mutafov, passed away Friday at the age of 66.
Mutafov was a University lecturer, researcher of Bulgarian and World literature, literary scholar and public figure.
In the years after the fall of Communism, he was involved in numerous public activities, including being the Editor in Chief of the "Democracy" newspaper.
The Professor was born on March 9, 1943 in the village of Devetak, near the Black Sea city of Burgas.
He has authored tens of monographs and books about Bulgaria's most significant writers - from Zahari Stoyanov to Iordan Radichkov, research and other articles dedicated to the new generation of Bulgaria's poets.
His last work was the presentation book dedicated to the poet, Binio Ivanov and some of his unknown poems.
