Bulgaria Moves Toward Anti-Drone Systems at Airports
Bulgaria's airport operators have agreed on the need to implement anti-drone systems at all international airports in the country
General Zlatan Stoykov, Chief of Staff of the Bulgarian army, is set to propose that unnecessary Bulgarian weapons are disposed of in Turkey.
Stoykov`s proposal was raised during the conference of the Balkan Chiefs of General Staff in Belgrade. Gen. Stoykov will soon present the proposal to the Bulgarian Minister of Defence, Nikolay Tsonev.
In the meeting the chief boards of the Turkish and Albanian army general Ilker Bashbug and general Maxim Malay offered to their colleagues from the region to get rid of the unnecessary weapons and old ammunitions in specially built plants for utilization on their territory.
During the meeting Stoykov also confirmed Bulgaria's engagement to the Serbian Air Force to train in the Black sea base of Shabla.
Stoykov concluded his visit to Belgrade by meeting NATO Joint Force Commander Mark Fitzgerald to discuss further participation of the Bulgarian contingent in the mission in Kosovo as well as the progress of KFOR deterrent presence operation.
