Bulgais's Finance Ministry Plans Bufget Deficit of Three Percent in 2022
The Finance Ministry is planning the budget deficit to drop to 3 per cent in 2022 and 2.
The state budget of Bulgaria may end up with a deficit of BGN 2 or 3 billion towards the end of the 2009 financial year.
This was announced by expert in the Finance Ministry, who wished to remain anonymous, the Pari Daily reported Tuesday.
In their words, there is a crisis in the public finance, and the measures that Minister Plamen Oresharski announced last week are simply cosmetic, and will not prevent it.
If drastic measures are not taken immediately, the budget deficit may reach BGN 3 B, they warned.
If taken, they may even not be enough to prevent losses for the treasury.
The lack of money is most significantly seen in the State Social Security, where there is already a deficit of BGN 500 M.
