The Bulgarian president Georgi Parvanov met His Royal Highness Willem-Alexander, Prince of Orange at 4 pm today.

Parvanov welcomed Willem-Alexander, the Prince of the Netherlands, who is in Bulgaria for a UN meeting on water and sanitation.

The heir to the crown of the Netherlands is in Sofia for a regional ministerial conference on the topic "Water supply and sanitation of the small settlements in the Black sea region", which is held within the framework of the 12th session of the Councilor Board to the UN General Secretary on water and sanitation.

Willem-Alexander is the eldest son of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and the heir apparent to the Dutch throne.
