Bulgaria to Welcome Japanese Prince Akishino
Prince Akishino, the second son of Japanese Emperor Akihito, and his wife Princess Kiko will visit Bulgaria as part of their two-week tour of Europe.

Prince Akishino, the second son of Japanese Emperor Akishino, and his wife Princess Kiko start a three-day visit to Bulgaria on May 13 as part of their two-week tour of Europe.
The couple are due to visit Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania on the goodwill visit aimed at promoting closer ties, the government said.
Akishino, 43, is second in line to the Japanese throne.
This year marks the 140th year of Japanese diplomatic ties with Austria and Hungary and the 50th year since Tokyo resumed formal relations with Bulgaria and Romania.
In Bulgaria the anniversary is marked by events under the auspices of the Bulgarian President and Prince Akishino.
During the tour, the couple will call on top government leaders and tour historical sites and museums.
