SOCIALISTS: NO SUPPORT IN ADVANCE FOR THE KING

`Coalition for Bulgaria cannot support the new government in advance, before knowing what and who will be there to support`, Socialist leader Georgi Purvanov said after meeting President Stoyanov. This was one of a series of consultations the head of state has been holding before mandating the Simeon II National Movement (SNM), which won the parliamentary elections to form a government. Purvanov said the coalition would spell out its position when it has seen the SNM governance program and the new government`s composition. He reiterated the Socialists` decision not to support a government coalition including the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF).
