RELAXED VISA REQUIREMENTS WITH ALBANIA AGREED

Politics | June 1, 2002, Saturday // 00:00

Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Passy and Albanian Deputy Foreign Minister Luan Hajdaraga signed on Friday an agreement for relaxed visa requirements between Bulgaria and Albania. The signing of the agreement is related to Bulgaria's new visa policy and the process of harmonization with the European standards, Passy said. The entry and sojourn requirements for holders of ordinary passports are relaxed; no invitation is required in humanitarian cases and for package tourists. Bulgarians and Albanians holding valid diplomatic or business passports will be able to enter and stay in the respective country for up to 90 days from the date of their first entry. This period can be extended in conformity to the legislation of the receiving country, Passy added.
