Bulgaria’s former President Petur Stoyanov will set up a non-governmental organization that will primarily work on the reforms related to NATO membership. Stoyanov told that to journalists upon his return from a three-month stay in the United States. Asked whether he would go back to politics, Stoyanov said that he had no plans to return in the near future. The former president declined to comment the policies of Bulgaria’s current government. He only said that experts admired the foreign policy of the government. Former Bulgaria’s President Petur Stoyanov left for the United States in end-February. He lectured in American universities at the invitation of the US Senate. Stoyanov’s lectures were primarily about the situation in the Balkans and Bulgaria’s bid for NATO membership.
