NEARLY SIX BILLION LEVA TO BE INVESTED IN ARMY MODERNIZATION

Nearly BGN 6 billions are about to be invested in a two-stage modernization of the Bulgarian army, General major Subi Subev from the General Staff of the Bulgarian army said. Subev announced that during the visit of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly spring session delegates to Bulgaria’s second biggest city Plovdiv. A key event at the session is expected to be the plenary debate on a draft declaration in support of NATO Enlargement in the final day of the forum on May 28. The reached declaration after the four-day summit in Sofia will be presented to the Heads of State of NATO member countries in Prague in November to decide which countries will be invited to join NATO.
