FM THANKED SON OF LIBYAN LEADER FOR ASSISTANCE IN MEDICS CASE

Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Passy talked on the phone with Seif al-Islam al-Qaddafi, son of the Libyan Leader Qaddafi and President of the Qaddafi International Foundation. Passy thanked Seif al-Islam al-Qaddafi, for the assistance in making his visit to Benghazi in early May possible. Passy and al-Islam discussed the outcome of the visit. Minister Passy thanked him for the organization’s assistance in the course of the trial against the Bulgarian medics charged with infecting 393 Libyan children with the HIV virus. Minister Passy invited Seif al-Islam to present in Bulgaria an exhibition of his works, which is currently touring Europe. During his visit in Libya at the beginning of May Minister Passy met with the Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi, who assured the Bulgarian guest that he is following personally the trial of the six Bulgarian medics. Earlier on Minister Passy met with parents of the Libyan children infected with HIV at the children's hospital in Benghazi.
