PRIME TASS: RUSSIA’S TRANSNEFT EYES BALKAN OIL PIPELINE

The Russian oil company Transneft considers the possibility to participate in the constructiom of the trans-Balkan oil pipeline that will carry Russian crude oil to Greece via Bulgaria, PRIME Tass reported, quoting Transneft’s Vice President Yuri Sayadov. According to Sayadov, the project mulled by Russia, Bulgaria and Greece also involved Greek companies and Russia’s Yukos and Rosneft. According to Sayadov, the construction of the pipeline that will run from the Bulgarian Balck Sea Burgas port to Greece’s Aegean sea port of Alexandroupolis was estimated to cost between USD 600 M and USD 800 M.
