The monthly survey of the economic situation conducted by the National Statistics Institute /NSI/ in the first two weeks of June show that the tendency for gradual improvement, observed in the past few months, is preserved though there is no considerable change for the better in the business environment. For a fourth consecutive month business managers report improvement in the present business situation in the industrial sector. The environment, in which industry will develop in six months, also shows positive expectations of the business managers. The composite indicator of the business climate in June, which is made up of the current and the expected business situation, is the highest for the last three years. According to the results of the survey conducted six months ago, an active season is expected for the industry in the summer but this trend has been observed for the last two years in the survey. In relation to the sales prices of produce, no inflation changes are expected. Improvement in a long-term perspective is observed in the number of enterprises experiencing financial problems, which hamper their development. Although financial problems have been pointed out by 37% of the managers, which is above the average level for the last one year, still the figure is below the average for the last seven years.
