One of the alleged top drug dealers in Bulgaria's capital Sofia in the recent years, Dimitar Vuchev aka Dembi, said on Monday that another of alleged Bulgarian mafia bosses, Zlatomir Ivanov aka "Baretata" ("The Barret") had ordered several gangland killings.

"Baretata has ordered several murders. He is in control of the drugs in Bulgaria", Dembi stated in an interview for the Darik Radio.

Last week Zlatomir Ivanov accused Dembi in an interview for the Trud Daily that he had been blackmailing him for EUR 100 000 threatening to release compromising materials about him to the State National Security Agency DANS.

Dembi claims that Ivanov has ordered the murders of several drug dealers, including Bobara ("The Beaver"), Martin Ludiya ("The Crazy"), and that he had also been targeting witnesses on Dembi's trials in order to make the police believe that this had been done by Dembi himself.

Vuchev also said the police had known about the threats against the murdered person like Bobara by Ivanov, but had not acted upon to prevent their assassinations.

According to Dembi, Zlatomir Ivanov Baretata was the actual murderer of Anton Miltenov aka "Klyana" ("The Beak"), a formerly well-known drug dealing boss in Sofia.

Dembi believes Ivanov's recent interviews are a sign that he was going to try to organize a new attempt on his life.
