WB TO LAUNCH NEW URBAN PLAN ON BG CAPITAL

The World Bank /WB/ and the Sofia municipality will hold consultations and round tables on Monday and Tuesday on the introduction of Sofia`s new urban plan. Present at the sessions will be Sofia mayor Stefan Sofianski, WB mission leader Thomas O`Brian, experts from the municipalities, borough mayors, business people, NGOs. At the April meeting between the Sofia municipality and the WB it was announced that the bank would provide financial support for the execution of projects connected with the urban plan, mainly in the infrastructure. On July 20 Sofianski leaves for Washington for the annual meeting of the WB in order to finalise the $70 M loan for the city`s heating network.
