PREPARATIONS FOR PAPAL VISIT RANKED MOST IMPORTANT AMONG MAY EVENTS

Preparations for the Papal visit to Bulgaria (www.popeinbulgaria.com), the visit of Foreign Minister Passy in Libya and the crisis in education are pointed as the most important events for the last month according to a survey of agency MBMD. This is also the reason why the approval rating of Foreign Minister Passy is also growing. More than fifty percent of the respondents assess his visit in Libya with the highest mark - 5. The majority of the people think that the improved conditions of the Bulgarian medics held there comes as a result of his personal diplomatic efforts. The rating of the Cabinet as a whole and most of the ministers remain unchanged. People who express optimistic views about the future are down by four per cent over April. Almost 40% of the respondents express the opinin that things are going from bad to worse, just as much are those who believe the status quo will remain unchanged.
