Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Nikolay Vassilev said that he expected positive assessment of the governmental program before the closing press conference of the IMF mission in Bulgaria. “We do not have differences with the fund. The fund supports the politics entirely and we continue to be in wonderful professional and personal relations, “ Vassilev commented. The International Monetary Fund mission is in Sofia to review Bulgaria's economic performance. Depending on the review, the IMF will decide in July whether to disburse the second tranche of the nine-tranche loan to Bulgaria. The International Monetary Fund approved early this year a stand-by loan worth USD 299 M. The first tranche was made available in February.
