One of the hosts of Bulgaria's popular morning show "Sblasak", Ivan Hristov, was imposed Tuesday a seven-month suspended sentence with three years served in probation for causing a crash while under the influence of alcohol.
The Regional Court in the town of Stara Zagora has also deprived Hristov of his driving license for 10 months since the date the accident occurred.
On August 4, the TV star veered into the opposite lane of a central road in Stara Zagora and hit against a refuse transporting truck. Fortunately, the crash has not claimed any lives.
A new medical expertise proved Hristov drove with 1.54 per miles of alcohol in his blood at the time of the incident.
The defendant could appeal the penalty within 15 days.
