A quake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck central Greece on Saturday, the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Observatory reported.
The seismic shock hit at 0827 GMT causing minor damage to homes in Amphikleia.
The epicentre of the tremor was 170 kilometres north of Athens.
Greece accounts for half the seismic shocks recorded on the European continent.
Most of them occur under the sea and cause insignificant damage, but a 5.9-strong quake northwest of Athens killed 143 people in 1999.
In June, a 6.5-magnitude tremor took the lives of two people and injured about 140 in the northern Peloponnese.
